This is pretty much what it says on the box. For various reasons, I have often wanted to determine the source of a specific folder in /Userfolder/Library/Application Support. One example is that I spent a couple hours purging Chrome from the system, but have a folder ~/Library/Applicaton Support/Google/Chrome/Default, which has another folder “Extensions” and a text file called Preferences. This leaves two possibilities: Chrome hopelessly contaminated my system with their unconventional coding, or another app is affiliated with Google and is regenerating this folder. It would also help me clean out the general cruft from a year of use. It’s not that my hard drive is full; just that I like stuff to be organized in general but would prefer to understand the folder structure than to trust something like AppCleaner.
